Oliver Spencer AW14 Collection

Oliver Spencer unveiled their AW14 collection during LC:M on the 8th January, but this is no easy collection to see and forget. The WGSN Global Menswear Designer Award winner Oliver Spencer showcases an AW14 collection that is influenced by Purism, architecture & London’s ever-evolving subcultures.

A cross-generational collection with a strong luxury urban aesthetic. What is great about the collection is it’s influence from classic designers and the collection draws great inspiration by Le Corbusier.

Mechanical, modular designs showcased on the classic herringbone with modern materials. Geometric spaces flooded with colour, nods towards Tartan and other patterns and prints, all testament to the Purist art movement as championed by Le Corbusier (1918 – 1925).

Rich colour palette including charcoal, navy and forest green combined with caramel and rust tones to set the scene for AW14 with sophistication.

Key pieces include the Shawl Collar Donegal Jacket, Lightweight Nylon Mac, Judo Pants and the Caramel Epsom Coat that embody Spencer’s approach to evolutionary design.

If you are yet to see the show from LC:M last month then check out the video below with Specials’ Drummer John “Brad” Bradbury plays a live set to accompany the show.
