AW14 Kent And CurwenThe Kent and Curwen AW14 show at LC:M is a collection that to date still excites theCool!

The dynamic debut collection for newly appointed Creative Director Simon Spurr, takes on a modern spin with hints to British Heritage showcasing exciting times and pieces to come from the unique brand!

Offering a new philosophy for the brand you witness reinterpretation and the juxtaposition of iconic pieces: Motorcycle Jackets, channel quilted at the lapel, paired with tuxedo trousers and set against exploded fairisle jumpers, whilst Duffle coats are updated with Aran sleeves and reversible cricket sweaters offered in a range of colours.

With influences that derive from their sporting roots, the classic pique polo weave is oversized in proportion to become the signature pattern for the collection.

Keeping it fully British you will see strong use of British suiting cloths and collaborations with British manufacturer’s such as Fox Umbrellas and Loake Shoes. Fabric is a great feature of this collection as directed by Mr Spurr and exciting mixtures with modern wool/silk tweeds in monochromatic grey and Flannel suiting which is either laser cut or is printed with wide regatta stripes that serve as a nod to the brands tie origins.

As part of the collections re branding, the cricket ‘Splice’, a powerful, angular shard inspired by the V-shaped detailing on a cricket bat, is referenced throughout the collection and has become a prominent mark of the Kent and Curwen brand.
