David Koma is known for his body-con silhouette, and its always surprising that season after season he manages to update this aesthetic without tampering with the look that is so evidently Koma.
For SS14, leather panels and cut-out details added to dresses with sheer organza over shoulders made for a sensuous, feminine collection. Inspired by the Japanese art of Kyudo – a form of meditation – the show was sleek, simple and thoughtful.
Origami jackets and fierce structures were contrasted with pops of electric blue and blushed pink, reminding us that the Koma girl is never one to settle as a wallflower.
