TOPMAN Relaunch LTD!

LTD is back and with a stronger and sharper image too! LTD was started as a free-range project with the intent to deliver pieces to a Topman customer whose wardrobe ethos works on the basis of collectable classics rather than disposable catwalk trends. The collection took some time out whilst preparing for its expansion to 22 stores including international markets and topman.com.

If this is all new to you, LTD is all about quality made clothing that are key staples you your wardrobe, you create the trend instead of following them!

The re-launch will mean that the LTD collection will now be available all year round. It means there will always be a small capsule collection of staples pieces including jeans, shirts, and knitwear available and this will then be interspersed with the LTD trend pieces every other month.

So what can we expect? Well the first release entitled ‘Pitwall’ launched August 19th and you’ll be able to see influences from the dawn of the automobile and the birth of motor racing as a popular spectator sport. In the 1940s British racing tracks were pushing cars and their drivers to their limits and exciting crowds in their thousands. Topman Ltd have taken inspiration from these early pioneers of motor racing, from the drivers, who secured fame and notoriety with their skill behind the wheel to secure a top spot on the podium.

Topman’s take on this golden era of motoring has resulted in beaten leather driving jackets, appliquéd race number jerseys and canvas helmet bags. These pieces can be worn with denim jeans, embroidered zip-through jackets and printed team T-shirts of the mechanics. This distinctly masculine collection is underpinned with a strong racing stripe story, workwear ‘shaker’ floral prints and indigo checks.
