Accesories at Phones4U

A while back, we were invited to try our hand at Phones4U’s new dedicated accessories website. I have to admit at first the offer didn’t exactly blow me away as I automatically associated P4U with bog standard phone accessories which my trusty old HTC One X had more than enough of but I took up opportunity and was pleasantly surprised.
First of all it turns out the world of mobile accessories has grown a lot in the past few years, they of course sell the usual mobile phone cases, chargers and cables but there’s also tablet accessories, wireless speakers, swanky headphones and even bluetooth controlled helicopters, yes really!
As tempting as it was to go for the bog standard cases, chargers and cables I decided to go a little out of the box, looking for items which I could use across my myriad of tech devices.
I ended up choosing:
Floral iPad Mini Case
KitSound Bluetooth Speakers
White headphones
The good thing about the site is that it allows you to filter items by devices and accessory type which makes browsing through the 2000+ product range a lot less daunting.
The iPad came out of the dearth of affordable, cute iPad Mini cases, almost a year since it’s release it seems that the highstreet and fashion brands have yet to jump onto the iPad Mini case trend the same way they did with the original. The filofax style meant that it could also be doubled as a stand in several different positions making it super handy for when you need your hands free.
My choice of headphones is a simple as me needing a new pair but not wanting large over ear headphones and never being able to wear in-ear buds comfortably leaving me with very limited options, and so far they’ve done a good job, they also include a mic which means it can be used as a hand-free. If those are not your thing then there do have a large range of in ear buds and overear headphones including Beats By Dre and 50 Cent’s SMS Audio’s.
Out of everything the item which has surprisingly gotten the most use is the bluetooth speakers (which are now unfortunately sold out), not only have they been used for my iPad and phone, but also with my laptop too. They now come with me everywhere and have come in great use impromptu trips to the park and have even substituted in-car speakers once or twice. The bluetooth connectivity means that they are compatible with any bluetooth enabled device, but they also come with an aux lead for those without and best of all it chargers using a standard mini-USB connection meaning no need to carry around extra cables.
Overall, my Phones4U Accessories experience was unexpectedly pleasant, (maybe it’s because I’ve been watching too much Phoneshop) but I came out of it being very impressed by the range of products and prices offered.
