EASTPAK AW12: THE CAMO COLLECTION

It is all about the Camo trend this Autumn/Winter ’12 season, all things military, authoritative and technical are in with a vengeance and EASTPAK makes sure that their AW12 collection highlights all this and more!

Now in case you roll your eyes and think they’re following trends, we are glad to inform you that the original EASTPAK company – Eastern Canvas Products – made knapsacks and accessory pouches for the US Army back in the day… these guys practically run the Camo trend! Coming from a true Military background, EASTPAK, moved onto the US College campuses and streets in 1976 when the son of Eastern Canvas Product’s owner decided to introduce a range of lifestyle and casual bags. This new collection by Marc Goldman still used the same quality of fabric as the packs produced for The Pentagon, but introduced colour and prints to make them more ‘streetworthy’. There’s a bit of history for ya!

Today, EASTPAK’s Camo range is inspired by such heritage and have taken the original concepts and used to create a collection of Backpacks, Duffels and luggage pieces that scream out cool and are fit for purpose as well!

We got our hands on the Camo Wheeled Holdall, perfect for taking on getaways, and of course will be sure to not get lost in the crowd because it’s more stylish than those boring ones you see on a regular basis. Complete with lots of space and pockets to fit all bits and bobs in, the actual holdall is pretty lightweight, so there is no need to worry about extra weight of the luggage itself!
