Months ago I was invited to an Eastpak event where I was allowed to experience a lovely collaboration between Eastpak and Hiddencity to provide “The Eastpak Insider Trail”. Head over to previous post to get an insight into events. [Here]
The final hunt for the hidden £5000 hidden in an Eastpak bag some where in London was the end to a beautiful community campaign by Eastpak.
On Saturday, I arrived early at the finish line in order to be present for as much of the finale moments as possible, even though it was literally 15mins from my home. I remember when I went through the same experience months ago, it took a little while for my team to get
going but once we did, we found ourselves sprinting from one place to the next and I wasn’t taking any chances on missing moments.
“We’re really pleased with the way that the EASTPAK Insider Trail project has gone and with the response we’ve received from the participants and the general public. EASTPAK’s goals were to connect people with their city and to get them to discover parts of the city that they’d never been to before, and the event put together by HiddenCity got the participants to find hidden locations all over London. The added element of the £5,000 cash prize was also a great incentive to get people to sign up!” – Clair Cosgrove, Eastpak Marketing Manager
Whilst the challengers where going through the trail, there was a genuine level of excitement between the Hiddencity and Eastpak staff members as they just wanted any of the selected teams to come storming up the ramp of the roof top cafe grinning with joy.
It’s pretty exciting based on every one’s tweets, emails and Facebook status – Rob Reason (Hidden City Founder)

It’s really good, really close, which is obviously what we like rather than having one person way ahead of everyone and so there is everything to play for – Jack (Hunt Manager)
Being on the roof top admiring an amazing landscape definitely seems like the kind of thing we should all do on a Saturday morning, especially when you know that the mood gets better with each passing moment leading up to the smiles and jubilation of the winning team. I had a chance to speak to the eventual winners and as excited as they were, they were classy enough to regulate their emotions in front of other competitors.
The winners were – Team JHecks comprising of Jemma, Harriet and Team Captain Emily, coming 4mins ahead of the second placed team to win the ultimate prize of £5000.
Special thanks to Eastpak, Hiddencity and Radiator PR… It was an awesome experience and a great opportunity to be a part of an amazing campaign.
