Design duo Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro and are known for their bold prints, so of course, a colourful collection was fully expected… and it did not disappoint.
Despite the show running almost half an hour late at the beautifully grand venue of Goldsmiths Hall, spirits were high as photographers, PRs and assistants fussed around the celebrity spectators.
The front row seated Suzy Menkes, Hilary Alexander, Laura Baily, Alexandra Shulman and many more pivotal figures in the fashion industry, so from the off I could practically smell the aroma of a good show in the making.
Inspired by Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom character Suzy Bishop, the collection heavily featured quirky collars, beaded embellishment and (a personal favourite) the return of the jelly sandal!
Although Anderson’s intense character became muse for the season, the French-themed showcase also took a look back through the brands archive and breathed new life into the Mrs Simpson checks, foxglove print and ‘Claudine’ collars.
Clements Ribeiro’s embroidery took centre stage with simple shift dresses and blouses encrusted with clustered adornments.

Set to the Parisian music of Matt Mulhall & Miles Copeland with loosely pinned hair courtesy of Sam McKnight, the model’s Boujois turquoise colour-blocked eyes perfectly complimented the seafoam organza skirts, dresses and tops that assended down the runway with an assortment of print overlays.

I also loved the near-transparent polka-dot dresses with a hint of colour stretching across the waist in the form of a belt.
