In celebration of the London Collections: Men shows in June, MR PORTER threw a party with Esquire magazine and Jimmy Choo.
This lead to a collaborative project with Jimmy Choo on a short film, to showcase the internationally renowned, London-based brand’s new AW12 collection.
AW12 is stated to take on a rock ‘n roll vibe inspired by the likes of Jimi Hendrix. Jimmy Choo designers Ms Sandra Choi and Mr Simon Holloway state that the range has a particularly British dandyism that stemmed from the loosening up of Savile Row during the late 1960s, championed by Tommy Nutter and Mr Fish –
Shot on location in London, the film follows our two protagonists on a revealing journey of a day and a night in the life of a contemporary London gentleman. We witness a stroll down a cobbled Mayfair street, drinking in a Soho club, taking part in a private Poker game and an encounter with a burlesque dancer.
