Today the Young Creative Council (YCC) finish off 6 weeks of creative events in Shoreditch by organising a day of creativity in 55DSL’s flagship store in Boxpark, the shipping container shopping mall!

The event celebrates the end of design collective ShellsuitZombie’s ‘Uncontained’ project: every day for 6 weeks creative individuals or groups have been taking over part of the 55DSL store to show off their creative skills.  It is hosted by Studio55, 55DSL’s platform for emerging talent.

Founded in 2007, the Young Creative Council is a group of multidisciplinary advertising creatives who run workshops, a blog and many other events that help young design graduates to hone their skills, meet potential employers and find creative partners.

Today’s event comes in two parts – during the day creative students and graduates are invited for ‘book crits’, a review of their portfolio of work by professionals from the advertising industry.  Then in the evening from 6-9pm, there will be a free party with plenty of beers, DJs and creative activities.
