This time last week it was Tradeshow season, and indeed it was exciting to see so many new and emerging brands coming to the forefront at the many we attended. Being media partners with Margin London, was definitely a great privilege and their dedication to new brands and opening numerous opportunities was a joy to witness. So we headed over on the Monday the 13th February and were definitely intruiged at the numerous brands represented there, and the diverse mix of designs made available to press and buyers alike were great to see.

We headed first for C Grand London… yes you know us girls and our bags! A very creative mix of handbags, belts and other accessories, it’s actually amazing to see that these are all hand crafted items and indeed to a great standard. A very cool british brand that has a bright future ahead of them we think.

We then got captivated my Dainty Damsel, who’s bubbly personality as well as super creative jewellery brand was an absolute pleasure to come across. Designing most of the jewelry themselves, you’ll find a great selection of rare pieces where all occasions are definitely catered for!

Immediately next to Dainty Damsel, was a unique brand called Talu, who’s ladies handbag brand is not like any seen before. An original design, with original concepts on the very thing women love to carry with them everywhere, it’s uniqueness captured our attention immediately. Developed from Cyprus the brand creates bags, clutches, bracelets and even neck jewelry, which matches the bags so you could have an entire set all in one outfit if you so please.

Next up was Nooka and ODM…

A really cool brand we bumped into was The Illustrated Mind, who’s approach to our most loved piece of clothing the T-Shirt was to really delve into graphics and cool illustrations, collaborating with unique designers to really distinguish their look from the norm.

Another brand that really took by surprise in it’s originality, was Magma, a book store which has expanded into clothing and brilliant little bit for the budding designer in all of us. Really cool workbooks for graphic designer, photographer and fashion designers, and a really cool collection of tees in homage to the Olympics!

We continued our chat with plenty other brands there, and came across favourites like Trikki Clothing, Silas Womenswear and more who are just going from strength to strength and definitely making their marks!

There was a must visit to emerging brand 2WNT4, who’s originality is far beyond the usual streetwear brand, having graphics and designs that have a deeper meaning to current affairs and things that affect young people is a great concept. Definitely great catching up with the guys!

Margin London hit 10 years old this 2012, and their strong support for emerging brands and giving the platform to showcase in an equal playing field allows for networking, great talent and great business to be nurtured. A great pleasure celebrating with them! Congrats guys! margin.tv
