With Berlin a fond memory of both Berlin Fashion Week and Bread & Butter, one thing to take away is how much talent and amazing fashion pieces we’ve been able to capture, look at and experience. One who is always a fond memory is Ricardo Ramos (his 3rd consecutive appearance in BFW) who shares with us FW12 creatively entitled ‘La Lola Moderna’ meaning The Modern Lola!

The Collection F/W 2012 “La Lola Moderna” is inspired by the impact of women’s emancipation phenomena in Hispanic latitudes and the influence of the Berliner scene’s aesthetics during the period between the two World Wars

Colombian/Spanish Designer Ricardo Ramos found inspiration this time in the Art Decó aesthetics for his collection Fall/winter 2012, paying tribute to the early divas immortalized in music and films like the Spanish Carmelita Aubert and Lola Flores, the Argentinian Tita Merello and Imperio Argentina also to the Mexican Lupita Tovar.

This FW12, Ramos’ collection was presented amongst the film and fashion series “Vintage Hispanic Fashion Film Series/The Modern Lola”, these film series are a selection of Hispanic movies curated by Ramos with special attention to the 30’s, those movies served to him as a reference to develop his latest collection and so seemingly fit well!

Check out the pics from the show below and the collection, very detailed work, a line which flows and speaks about strong women, their love for fashion and the reason we embrace the old school! For more information visit: ricardoramos.webnode.es
