In the Flyprints x theCool ‘Who’s Hot for 2011′, I mentioned that I definitely thought that King Apparel were gonna do their thing for SS11, can’t remember if it was in the final cut of the collaboration, but hey I did forsee a great start for KING this year.
Now hopefully, you guys checked out their sale this last weekend, but left just enough room in your wardrobes for the KING drops which are definite winners this season. We got hit up with their SS11 collection Lookbook, and as expected from fans of the brand we are given a bespoke cut and sew theme that runs throughout.
True to King Apparel style, their limited runs and no repeats ethos is stronger than ever. Key pieces for this collection include the Oxford and Madras shirting (great summer classics), lightweight fully fashioned knitwear, grey acid wash and raw selvedge denim and polos.
And don’t worry for all you New Era peoples, they’ve got you covered as well as classic twists to crewnecks and hoodie cuts with nice new additions to the Starter Black Label snapback collaboration.
It’s nice to see great progression from the brand, still delivering our beloved tees, but taking it that one step further with great textures, designs and originality, the laid back colour palette keeps them just as streetwear as they were when they started, which keeps them in the game!
Pieces will be available online soon at www.king-apparel.com, check out the site for the latest.
